some lovely ideas to make note of, keep them coming in - thanks everyone x

How about a small folding wallet? The sort of thing that would hold some loose change, a note or two, one or two bank cards, securely fasten and fit in my tiny rucksack along with my camera and pack-mac?

Off to visit your Facebook page too!

Both me & my sis have some of your pieces, they're gorgeous to look & very hardwearing too! What about decorative birds in your style that can be popped on the end of a wooden skewer to decorate leafy houseplants? I did this with a knitted owl I bought from Aleximo - the plant looks much nicer now! x

Thanks for the great giveaway!

I am at a bit of a loss to come up with anything that you don't already do, or that hasn't already been suggested! You could maybe do pincushions, or cushion covers.

Jentwinkle said...

Love your stuff so much, it's all so pretty!

I think you should make some pictures the same as your brooches, bit bigger though, in frames.

Love your exquisite work. I'm sure you could make beautiful book marks, but probably have to do them without buttons. You would need a label on back with your web address because tragically, they may get left in library books - free advertising tho!

Deb said...

It probably sounds a bit odd but I think a letter rack of some kind would look brilliant in your style, or a small notice board? Or even photo frames.

I'm a huge fan of your stuff, please enter me for the giveaway! Off to tweet about it now too :-)

Already following...Pin cuchions would suit your fabby style...

You have so many beautiful things! I adore the wreaths you make - you could maybe adapt these to be alice bands or head dresses. Also business card holders would be very very cool. Or possibly fabric photograph frames; I think they'd work beautifully with some of my old photographs. :) I would suggest drawer scenters too, but I think that your work is too pretty to be hidden away.

Your shop is fab just as it is, but I would love it if you could make some market stall holders kind of bum bag things (though not a bum bag!) to keep my money in at fairs! You know they tie round your waist and have a couple of pockets at the front!

Kellie said...

Ohhhh i love your style so much Sam, everything in your shop is adorable! already a FB fan :)
will tweet this tonight too!

ideas - document wallet, notebook cover, needle rolls, small pieces of textile art (a little like your brooches) that could be framed.

Good Luck

I'd like you to venture out into bags more. Felt big ones with those gorgeous nostalgic collages of yours on the front! That's what I want... i'd rather wear your collage on a bag for the world to envy than hang it on my wall just for me to see. xxx

i think a needle-holder would be lovely and probably sell well amongst us crafters :) x

Could the napkins rings be bigger and be born as a cuff- for preference with the grumpy- party- hated baby? Failing that perhaps you could sell a fabulous bright oil painting of boats- no?= Misery!!!!

Kate said...

I think your work is beautiful and I think it would be great as a mini quilt hanging type of thing. I'm on my way to fan your facebook and maybe even tweet if i can work it!

Unknown said...

Nice try Jenny, no its not for sale and you cant have it :)

FairlyGirly said...

How about more shapes for your brooches. A journal/cover in your style would be great. Passport cover, with pocket on the back for your boarding cards.

a door stop! your beach huts would make fantastic door stops if abit bigger! (you'd probably have to give instructions for filling with rice or the like as it would be too heavy to post otherwise!)

Would like to see some more vibrant colours (apart from the red). Deep greens and blues. Michelle x

Hi!

Aww someone's already made my suggestion! I was going to suggest an oyster card holder :)

I love your wreaths, would like to see more of those in your style. Not sure if they would be too large scale but how about aprons and pinnies? They would look lovely covered in your style of embellishments.

Hi, I love the things you make. I think a notebook cover would be fantastic!

Adien Crafts said...

Like many other people I love your pieces - as for something new, maybe a wallet style purse for notes and credit cards would be nice?

Oooooo, What a fab giveaway.

Your shop is full of lovely goodies.

I would suggest adding pencil cases to your shop. Your work would be fabulous made into a pencil case.

Also my sister suggests a ID card holder. The type office workers have to wear as she flips her card over when not 'showing' or out to lunch and it and thinks it would be lovely decorated

I will tweet in a minute too ;-D

Fingers crossed.......

Love Kitty xXx

I adore your work and am very impressed with all that you do, I think if you made wedding favours these would work beautifully, more and more people are going for a 'handmade' 'shabby chic' approach and want you offer is very individual, also table gifts for Christmas time, instead of crackers!

If you do venture down the wedding route I would be more than happy to feature you in my blog and add a link on my website.....take care and keep up your excellent work talented lady! x

ps. I am following you everywhere!
