April News
Just a little catch-up really as I am so so terrible at keeping up with my blog.
April was a busy month for my household. After a very quiet start to the year and wondering if we could carry on Hubby won a big contract that will give him work for a few months. Its been a bit of a struggle lately so it will be lovely to be able to pay the bills.
My son, who is so accident prone, managed to damage his knee during a basketball match. He lives and dies for his basketball so was very down for weeks. He is still suffering with it now and training has had to be very light and he has had to sit out on matches. He has been picked for his team to play and has had to give his place to others, not an easy thing to do when you love it so much.
This was taken quite a few years ago but I love it.
My daughter had a not very good month, she is getting picked on at school, Idon't think I could say it has got to the point I would call it bullying, but we need to sort it out now. Having been badly bullied for five years at secondary school, I feel I am equipped with some knowledge to help her sort it out. Some not very nice things were said to her on Facebook and I let it be known that Mummy Pants is watching them. They have been very nice to her since, and her confidence is growing a bit again. I hope that she can learn to stop it before it starts getting worse.
Also, the Fox, who has now made his home in the garden, and lives about five feet away from the guinea pig hutch, decided to make a meal of one of them. The poor guinea pig that is left is so shy poor thing. We have been out and secured the cage, that he would now have to be a magician to eat the other one.
Again, a very old photo, but it is lovely to look back to when they were not killing each other or fighting over the PS3.
As for me, I have been busy making, trying to do the books for hubby and me for the year (still loads to do), booking into craft fairs. Now selling on Notonthehighstreet, had some wholesale enquiries, done a on-line magazine interview (comes out in June I think) and numerous other things that take me away from getting other things done.
I have decided to push my personalised items this month. For my nieces birthday I took a photo of her son (he is 1.5 years) and made it into a brooch for her. She was so pleased with it. I have also been asked to make a purse with a lovely photo of Someone's Nan on it. Of course, being me I forgot to take photo's.
If anyone has a special photo that they would like used on a purse for a special gift or a brooch then let me know at my Folksy shop.
These Napkin Rings can be personalised with your families names on or would be great for your guests tables at a wedding reception.
More wedding reception items coming soon. Watch this space.....

what a great idea! Hope you get lots of orders soon
Lovely post Sam, and smashing photos of your kids!
Love the idea of custom orders. They will make such lovely gifts.
Good luck with your new ventures.
My dd has had F/B problems lately - it's really dragged her down poor love. Seems to be coming to an end now though.
